Amp Fan
Can someone tell me what type and size capacitor I need for a 115 v 1.8 amp fan motor ?
I bought a fan at a salvage yard and it has 3 terminals on it . I’m guessing it needs a cap ? How do I know what to get and how do I wire it ?
Three terminals could also mean several things. It could need a capacitor, or it could be a multi speed motor or it could be a three phase motor. The surest way to tell is to carefully study the nameplate information. It should give the voltage, phases, frequency, amperage and capacitor size, if required
