Autumn Cotton
Will this make a suitable dog bed for a Samoyed puppy?
-Shallow large cardboard box
-Newspaper lining
-A cushion with a polar fleece covering (winter/autumn) cotton (summer/spring)
(or what should I use as cushioning?)
-Do I need a blanket?
-Should I put a litter sheet on it or next to it?
Any ideas, we are not wanting to buy one, and I’m not very good at sewing, but I will if need be. I am going to be sewing the covers.

Okay, now I have bought my puppy a REAL dog bed, it is one of those types that looks like a cushion. So why doesn’t it sleep on it? Even when I invest money on him, he still prefers the cold, hard tiled ground. What do I do now?
Maybe all that fur acts as a cushion for your dog. I wouldn’t recommend a cardboard box, since any dog would chew through that. I’d return the bed to whatever store you bought it from and just let the dog sleep where he wants to sleep. Maybe just an area rug will suit him just fine. You shouldn’t have to sew anything, you might get a little upset when he chews it to pieces. I’d just give him an area rug and that’s it. I use that for my Pit Bull and he loves it.
