Ball Hook

What bowling ball should I buy? Slingshot?
I have been looking on the Brunswick site, and looking at the stats they give helps. I saw the Slingshot has a low hook potential, but much higher than a house ball/viz-a-ball hook potential. However, I also saw someone using one at the bowling alley and it seemed to barely hook, is it a good ball?
Depends on several factors. The Slingshot has a high gloss finish, and it will provide good length with a strong continuous backend reaction that matches up on dry to medium-dry lane conditions. So if you bowl in a house that consistently has heavy oil, you won’t be happy because this ball won’t hook for you.
If you bowl on light to medium oil, this ball will hook nicely, assuming you are “ripping” through the ball at the point of release. That’s how you generate revolutions (revs) which the pins react to (it’s not the super fast speed as some believe), making them scatter when the ball hits.
